ACTION REQUESTED:
Authorize the County Manager to negotiate and execute an agreement substantially consistent with this agenda item.

1) The Board approved the initial Task Order #2015-15 at its January 21, 2020 meeting
2) The Board approved Amendment #01 at its July 11, 2022 meeting
BACKGROUND:
The Austin Chaney Household Waste Center project was designed by Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. using a multiple project agreement under Task Order 2015-15. During bidding the designer was required to perform additional services to fully rebid the project after receiving only one bid. The designer is requesting $8,000.00 in additional fees to provide these services. During construction the designer was also required to perform additional design services to mitigate unsuitable soils due to buried municipal waste that was unforeseen. The required changes included changes to storm water piping installation, changes to foundation design at retaining walls, canopy structural slabs and some pavement sections. The designer is requesting $4,000.00 for additional design services related to unsuitable soil conditions.
This amendment #03 includes costs for additional services totaling $12,000.00. The previously executed task order and amendments #01 and #02 directly associated with the Austin Chaney Household Waste Center included fees of $243,200.00. Including the amendment in this request the new total fee is $255,200.00.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Funding is available within the adopted Austin Chaney Site Renovations capital account, 61287000-5594, to support the $12,000.00 included in this task order amendment.
