ACTION REQUESTED:
Adopt the Resolution for the Voluntary Annexation and Zoning Map Amendment of County Property to the City of Monroe.
PRIOR BOARD ACTIONS:
None.
BACKGROUND:
Union County has been working with the City of Monroe on developing the Piedmont Innovation Park on Goldmine Road. Monroe has agreed to provide the sewer utility to the property and Union County has agreed to annex the property into the city limits. As part of this annexation, the zoning for the property will be set as General Industrial.
