BACKGROUND:
This request is to approve task order 2024-01 for C Design Inc to provide architectural services for the new Simpson Event Center Support Building project. The project is anticipated to include the construction of a building of approximately 4,000 to 6,000 square feet for the storage of equipment and supplies to support functions and events held at the Simpson Event Center. The building is anticipated to be a pre-engineered building with open air and enclosed storage areas, general utilities and perimeter fencing for security. It will be located immediately adjacent and south of the Simpson Event Center. The total budget for the project is $882,460.00.
C Design Inc was selected as one of the County’s On-Call Architectural Design teams for various capital projects. Staff has negotiated a scope and fee for the services for this project and recommends approval of task order 2024-01 in the amount of $66,800.00.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The cost of the services provided within this task order is $66,800.00 and there are sufficient funds in Capital Account 40080166 to cover the expense.
