ACTION REQUESTED:

Adopt the Resolution to Revise the Regular Meeting Schedule of the Union County Board of Commissioners for December 2021 and Adopting the Meeting Schedule of the Union County Board of Commissioners for 2022.

BACKGROUND:

At their November 15, 2021 Regular Meeting, the Board of Commissioners agreed with staff’s recommendation to revise their Regular Meeting Schedule to establish regular meetings to take place at 6:00 pm on the first and third Monday of each month with the exception of the months of July and August whereby regular meetings will take place at 6:00 pm on the first Monday of each month. Each regular meeting will take place in the Board of Commissioners’ Meeting Chamber on the First Floor of the Union County Government Center, 500 N. Main Street, Monroe, NC. If the day of a regular meeting falls on a holiday observed by Union County, then the Board will hold the regular meeting on the next business day after the holiday at the usual place and time. The 2022 Annual Regular Meeting Schedule reflects the dates, times, and locations of regular meetings to be held during the 2022 calendar year in accordance with the revisions stated above. In addition, the resolution revises the Board’s Regular Meeting Schedule for December 2021 by removing the Regular Meeting of Monday, December 20, 2021.
