BACKGROUND:

Union County has been awarded a planning grant by the Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization (CRTPO), with funding starting July 1, 2024, and running through June 30, 2025. Indian Trail, Fairview, Marvin, Monroe, and Wesley Chapel provided local match funding for the grant application, and the five interlocal agreements in this agenda item would allow the County to invoice the municipalities for their share of the match, totaling $28,000. Union County has committed $20,000, with the total project budget being $240,000.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

$28,000 in external funding to match $20,000 in Union County funding for grant.
