BACKGROUND:
This rezoning petition was submitted by Randall York and is requesting a revision of the Union County Zoning Map by rezoning one parcel totaling approximately 26.06 acres appearing on the tax map as tax parcel 04-039-012 along US 601 from RA-40 to Light Industrial (LI). Because this is a straight rezoning, there are no conditions or site plan associated with this petition.
A rezoning for Heavy Industrial (HI) on the same parcel was presented at the July 21 Land Use Board meeting, where action was deferred until August to receive additional information on any violations on the site and allow the applicant to attend. The applicant withdrew the HI rezoning petition and submitted a LI rezoning petition.
