ACTION REQUESTED:

Authorize the County Manager to negotiate and execute an agreement substantially consistent with this agenda item.

BACKGROUND:

Union County Department of Security Risk Management Capital Improvement Program (CIP) includes an allocation for security enhancements of all Union County security cameras. The project is broken down into three phases. Phase one will be for the Genetec Directory, Government Center, Farmers Market, Historic Post Office, Public Schools Building, Human Services, and the Emergency Services Building. Phase two will include the Main Library, Southwest Regional Library, Marshville Library, Progress Building, and Patton Avenue Building. The third phase will include the Water Operations Center Campus, Norwood Water Intake, and the New Salem Water Treatment Plant.

 

Total cost for the Project is $539,176.73. Convergint has been selected to provide goods for Task Order #1 - Security Cameras. Convergint was chosen from a list of vendors previously selected through Request for Proposals #2026-041 - Union County Physical Security Technology.

FINANCIAL IMPACT: 

The total cost of the contract with Convergint is $539,176.73. Sufficient funds are available in Capital Account 40080192-5351.
