ACTION REQUESTED:

Authorize the County Manager to 1) negotiate and execute an agreement substantially consistent with this agenda item, 2) exercise any renewal or extension term options set forth in the Agreement, and 3) terminate the Agreement if deemed in the best interest of the County, each in the County Manager's discretion.

PRIOR BOARD ACTIONS:

July 13, 2020, Regular Meeting, Agenda Item #13 - Approved Contract

BACKGROUND:

Union County Water uses Aquatic Informatics (formally HACH) for Water Information Management at each Wastewater Facility and will also soon implement at the new Yadkin Water Treatment Plant. The system provides functionality for secure and efficient data collection by operators, as well as critical reporting capabilities for monthly regulatory summary reports. This is the last of two one-year renewal options; the amendment also includes adding the Yadkin Plant.

The Water Department has utilized the contractual services of Aquatic Informatics, Inc. for Water Data Management Services since July 23, 2020. Aquatic Informatics has been effective and efficient in meeting our service needs, and we are requesting to continue this service for an additional year.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

The anticipated annual cost for this service is $44,881.20 and is budgeted accordingly for FY2025.
