ACTION REQUESTED:
Authorize the County Manager to 1) negotiate and execute an agreement substantially consistent with this agenda item, 2) exercise any renewal or extension term options set forth in the Agreement, and 3) terminate the Agreement if deemed in the best interest of the County, each in the County Manager's discretion.

BACKGROUND:
Union County has been utilizing Datto backup and disaster recovery solution since September of 2021. Datto is a comprehensive solution designed to protect the County's data from loss due to hardware failures, cyberattacks, or natural disasters. It offers cloud-based and on-premises backup options, enabling automatic data backups and rapid recovery. The Information Technology Department has utilized the contractual services of IT Partners for Software support of Datto since September 1, 2021. IT Partners has been effective and efficient in meeting our service needs, and we are requesting to continue this service for an additional 12 months
N.C.G.S 143-129(e)(3) and N.C.G.S 143-129(e)(9) allow local governments to make purchases through a competitively bid North Carolina Statewide Term Contract or a Group Purchasing Program.
The purchase of the Backup and Disaster Recovery Software will be made using Group Purchasing Program, The Interlocal Purchasing System, contract #230105 as quoted by IT Partners. The Procurement and Contract Management Department has vetted this contract and purchase amount.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The anticipated cost for the Datto Disaster Recovery Solution is $62,400.00 and is budgeted accordingly for FY2025.
