The regular meeting of the Union County Board of Commissioners scheduled for Monday, February 2, 2026, will not be held out of an abundance of caution for public safety due to inclement weather.  All items on the agenda will move to the next regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

BACKGROUND:

The Short Water Line Extension Program, as adopted by the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC), provides for the extension of water lines to serve and provide an environmental benefit to qualifying applicants in Union County. Staff have diligently pursued the design, permitting and construction of FY22 and FY23 projects and while doing so have encountered challenges which require direction from the Board of County Commissioners.

 

UCW will provide a presentation on the FY22 and FY23 projects, the challenges faced, and potential solutions for the Board to consider and direct staff as appropriate.
