BACKGROUND:

Infusion Points is a cybersecurity solution implemented in September 2023 to protect the County's information systems from evolving cyber threats. Since its deployment, it has effectively mitigated various security risks, safeguarding sensitive data and maintaining system integrity. The IT department recommends renewing Infusion Points for another 12 months to continue this vital protection and ensure ongoing security in the face of increasing cyber challenges.

N.C.G.S 143-129(e)(3) and N.C.G.S 143-129(e)(9) allow local governments to make purchases through a competitively bid North Carolina Statewide Term Contract or a Group Purchasing Program.

The purchase of the cybersecurity protection will be made using Group Purchasing Program US Educational Technology Purchasing Alliance, contract #0121002 as quoted by Tego Data Systems. The Procurement and Contract Management Department has vetted this contract and purchase amount.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

The anticipated cost for the Infusion Points Cybersecurity Solution is $54,912.00 and is budgeted accordingly for FY2025.
