ACTION REQUESTED:
Receive information on the Home & Community Care Block Grant (HCCBG) Committee.

BACKGROUND:
The HCCBG Committee is a Union County Board of Commissioner-appointed committee responsible for planning the aging service system by allocating HCCBG funds, identifying funding sources, determining the needs of older adult residents, identifying resources and service gaps, promoting awareness through public education, and analyzing service and demographic data. This report will cover the following:
• Current aging programs funded through HCCBG, including those offered by the Council on Aging, Union County Human Services, and the Bazemore Active Adult Center.
• Aging population trends specific to Union County.
• Service gaps and waiting lists in our programs.
• Present and future needs of older adult residents.
