The regular meeting of the Union County Board of Commissioners scheduled for Monday, February 2, 2026, will not be held out of an abundance of caution for public safety due to inclement weather.  All items on the agenda will move to the next regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
 
Due to construction at the Union County Government Center, the primary entrance off Main Street Plaza is closed. Visitors should follow signage to the facility's temporary entrances. To learn more or to view a project map, visit ucgov.info/PardonOurProgress.

ACTION REQUESTED:

Approve revision of the Union County Pay Plan to Include new job classification titles and pay grades.

1) Add the following classification and associated pay grade:

a.                     Social Work Trainee - pay grade I

b.                     Senior Permit Specialist - pay grade H

c.                     Records Specialist - pay grade H

d.                     Senior Assistant County Attorney Supervisor - pay grade T

2) Remove the following classification and associated pay grade:

a.                     Data Entry Technician - pay grade E

b.                     Training & Development Coordinator - pay grade N

PRIOR BOARD ACTIONS:

None.

BACKGROUND:

Updates to the Union County Pay Plan are necessary to add, update, and remove job classification titles to align with current and future organizational needs.

FINANCIAL IMPACT: 

No additional funds required.
