ACTION REQUESTED:

1) Approve budget amendment #29 and 2) recognize, receive, and appropriate funds into the Human Services Agency Budget.

PRIOR BOARD ACTIONS:

None.

BACKGROUND:

Budget Amendment #29 totaling $500,000 is attached to appropriate State Funding Non-Unit Cost Reimbursement (Non-UCR) - Crisis Investments Crisis Stabilization and Transition Program (CSTP)/Emergency Transition Residential Treatment (ETRI) funding as described below.

 

These state funds will be allocated to Partners Health Management, Union County’s Local Management Entity/Managed Care Organization (LME/MCO). Union County will request Partners reimburse up to $500,000 of approved expenditures associated with renovating the Union County group home at 600 Honeysuckle Lane in Monroe, NC.

 

Upon completion of the renovations, the Union County group home will be utilized as a Crisis Stabilization Placement for Union and Cabarrus County foster youth who are awaiting appropriate placement and/or treatment based on a comprehensive clinical assessment.

FINANCIAL IMPACT: 

Union County will facilitate the completion of the renovation using County funds and invoice Partners Health Management for 100% reimbursement.
