INFORMATION CONTACT:

Beverly L. Liles, Finance, Director, 704-283-3675

ACTION REQUESTED:

1) Adopt Capital Project Ordinance #364, 2) amend Capital Project Ordinance #314B.

PRIOR BOARD ACTIONS:

1) September 19, 2022, Regular Meeting, Agenda Item # 22-657 - Aseptic Training Facility funding approved.

2) February 19, 2024, Regular Meeting, Agenda Item #24-114 - Adopt Capital Project Ordinances 363 and 314A.

BACKGROUND:

South Piedmont Community College (SPCC) had requested to transfer County funds from the Aseptic Training Facility to a new project for the purchase of 20.62 acres of land at 1507 Airport Road, Union County parcel 09369005A. SPCC has requested to reduce the SPCC Aseptic Training Facility by $1,908,000 and reallocated these funds to the land purchase.

The overall cost of the Aseptic Training Facility will not be reduced as funds are available through State investment earnings for total project needs.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

No additional County capital funding is requested.
