BACKGROUND:

Union County Department of Soil and Water Conservation has identified a need for Stream Debris Removal Services for Beaverdam Creek and Richardson Creek to help eliminate threats to public health and safety. The project is funded with State and Union County Funds.

The Procurement Department partnered with Soil and Water to issue a Request for Proposal, RFP 2024-045 Beaverdam Creek Richardson Creek Debris Removal. On December 5, 2023, thirteen proposals were received and reviewed by an evaluation team in accordance with applicable evaluation criteria for this project. As a result, the team requests approval to enter into a contract with the top scoring/ranked preferred offeror, Alliance Integrated Solutions NC, Inc., to provide stream debris removal services. Work under this contract must be completed by June 30, 2024.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

The anticipated cost for this service is $100,526. Sufficient funds were allocated in the FY24 Budget to cover costs associated with this contract agreement.
