ACTION REQUESTED:
Authorize the County Manager to 1) negotiate and execute an agreement substantially consistent with this agenda item, 2) exercise any renewal or extension term options set forth in the Agreement, and 3) terminate the Agreement if deemed in the best interest of the County, each in the County Manager's discretion.

BACKGROUND:
The Procurement Department partnered with various Union County departments including Union County Water and Facilities and Fleet Management to issue a Request for Proposal 2025-023 Uniforms and Products Rental Service. On March 4, 2025, three proposals were received and reviewed by an evaluation team in accordance with applicable evaluation criteria for this project. As a result, the team requests approval to enter into a contract with the top scoring/ranked preferred offeror, Alsco Inc., dba Alsco Uniforms, to provide uniforms and uniform-related services. Due to the spend amount and per organizational policy, we are seeking approval to provide this valuable resource for employees. This agreement meets the definition of a Fixed Price Term Agreement under the BOCC adopted Fixed Price Term Agreements Policy. This agenda item includes a request for the Board to approve the agreement under the Fixed Price Term Agreements Policy.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The anticipated annual cost for this service is $200,000. Since this contract contains an initial two-year term and three one-year renewal options, a total of $1,000,000.00 is estimated to be spent. Expenditures under the contract are based upon departmental usage. Departments will utilize funding as appropriated for FY2026 for Union County’s uniforms. Future year expenditures are subject to appropriation by the Board of Commissioners.
