The regular meeting of the Union County Board of Commissioners scheduled for Monday, February 2, 2026, will not be held out of an abundance of caution for public safety due to inclement weather.  All items on the agenda will move to the next regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

ACTION REQUESTED:

Adopt Capital Project Ordinance 343A.

PRIOR BOARD ACTIONS:

1) June 17, 2019, Regular Meeting, Agenda Item # 17 - Adopted Resolution Providing for the Issuance of Series 2019C General Obligations Bonds.

2) February 7, 2022, Regular Meeting, Agenda Item # 22-019 - Adopted Resolution Providing for the Issuance of 2022 2/3rds General Obligations Bonds

3) April 3, 2023, Regular Meeting, Agenda Item #23-171 - Adopted Capital Project Ordinance 343 to complete the renovations needed at the Old Charlotte Highway campus. These renovations include restrooms in Building A, HVAC controls in the Braswell building and campus improvements.

BACKGROUND:

South Piedmont Community College (SPCC) is requesting to transfer $123,731 from the HVAC Controls in the Braswell Building to the Campus Improvements project.

FINANCIAL IMPACT: 

No additional funding needed.
