The regular meeting of the Union County Board of Commissioners scheduled for Monday, February 2, 2026, will not be held out of an abundance of caution for public safety due to inclement weather.  All items on the agenda will move to the next regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

ACTION REQUESTED:

Authorize County Manager to sign agreement for $75,000 in County funds to be used as match for New Town and Cuthbertson Roads Roundabout project.

PRIOR BOARD ACTIONS:

September 5, 2023, Regular Meeting, Agenda Item # 23-464 - Commit $75,000 to NCDOT grant application to CRTPO

BACKGROUND:

The intersection of Cuthbertson and New Town Roads is funded for a roundabout, with $75,000 in Union County funds. The enclosed agreement would allow the NCDOT to invoice Union County for these funds. This agreement has completed the review process.

FINANCIAL IMPACT: 

$75,000 in FY2026 or FY2027.
