BACKGROUND:
Union County Water is closely following the current drought. Union County Water declared Stage 2 Drought Restrictions on May 15 to comply with the Catawba-Wateree Drought Management Advisory Group’s status change based on the Low Inflow Protocol triggers. Attached are the updated Low Inflow Protocol triggers as of June 1, 2026 and the US Drought Monitor as of June 4, 2026.
