BACKGROUND:
End of year medical expenses can be difficult to project. This budget amendment is a precautionary measure to appropriate available fund balance in the Health Benefits fund and ensure sufficient budget to cover all end of year expenditures. Any unused funds will return to fund balance.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Appropriate Health Fund Benefits Fund fund balance, in the amount of $4,300,000, to cover increased medical claims.
