Interlocal & Mutual Aid Agreement - Anson County Building Inspections

ACTION REQUESTED:
Authorize the County Manager to 1) execute an agreement substantially consistent with this agenda item, 2) exercise any renewal or extension term options set forth in the Agreement, and 3) terminate the Agreement if deemed in the best interest of the County, each in the County Manager's discretion.

None.
BACKGROUND:
Due to staffing shortages with inadequate inspection certifications, Anson County Building Inspections is in need of assistance. Currently Union County has qualified inspectors that can meet their needs and handle the additional low volume of work by assisting our neighbor. Based on this information, interest now exists in entering a short-term agreement so that Union County can provide inspection services inside Anson County’s jurisdiction.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Reimbursement from Anson County for actual costs of performing services (includes hourly rate, FICA, 401K, and retirement).
