During the recent National Association of Counties (NACo) annual conference, Union County Information Technology was recognized for being ranked seventh nationally in the 250,000 to 500,000 population category. This is the seventh year that Information Technology has been recognized in the top 10 and the first time the County has moved up a population division. The award, developed in partnership with NACo and conducted by Center for Digital Government (CDG), identifies outstanding technology practices among U.S. counties, including initiatives that streamline delivery of government services; encourage collaboration; enhance cybersecurity; and apply innovative and emerging technologies to county priorities.
Information Technology was nominated for an Achievement Award by the National Association of Counties (NACo), and the department's implementation of the Microsoft 365 cloud project received the 2025 Achievement Award in the Technology category.
