ACTION REQUESTED:

Authorize the County Manager to negotiate and execute an agreement substantially consistent with this agenda item.

PRIOR BOARD ACTIONS:

November 2, 2009 - Consent Agenda - Authorized County Manager to approve Application Service Provider Agreement with Tyler Technologies Inc. to Move Financials from hosted to vendor hosted to eliminate the County purchasing new hardware.

December 5, 2016 - Consent Agenda - Authorized the County Manager to approve Contract renewal for Application Service Provider Agreement.

BACKGROUND:

The Finance Department has utilized the contractual services of Tyler Technologies (also known as Munis) for Enterprise Resource Planning/Financial Software since 1995. Tyler Technologies has been effective and efficient in meeting our service needs, and we are requesting to continue and amend our services with Tyler to add on a new Time and Attendance and Advanced Scheduling program.  This program will create efficiency in maintaining work schedules and timekeeping for a more streamlined payroll process.  This service will auto renew annually and have a one-time implementation cost.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

The one-time implementation cost is $64,800 and the anticipated annual cost for this service is $52,000.  The cost will fluctuate annually based on the number of employees who need access to the Time & Attendance program. The cost is budgeted accordingly for FY2027, with future expenditures dependent upon annual budget appropriation.
