ACTION REQUESTED:
Authorize the County Manager to approve additional expenditures for Contract # 8473 - Aramark Correctional Services, LLC.
PRIOR BOARD ACTIONS:
September 21, 2020, Regular Meeting, Agenda Item # 10 - Award Food Service Bid to Aramark.
BACKGROUND:
Union County Sheriff's Office and Union County's Senior Nutrition program currently utilize the contractual services of Aramark Correctional Services, LLC for Inmate Food Services and Senior Nutrition Program, and have utilized these services since July 9, 2015. Spending for the remainder of the contract will exceed the originally authorized contract amount. The Sheriff's Office and Senior Nutrition request an increase to each respective budget encumbrance for the remainder of the contract term, as outlined below.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The anticipated increased cost for this service is $192,000 for Inmate Food Service and $83,522 for Senior Nutrition and is budgeted accordingly for FY 2024.
