BACKGROUND:

Union County Sheriff's Office is requesting to renew an agreement with LeadsOnline, LLC. Our agency has used the subscription with Leads Online as an investigative tool and solved many cases. The Leads Online system is nationwide and ties into NCIC. The software allows pawn shops, salvage yards, eco ATMs (cellphone kiosks), etc. to enter information as it is received from customers selling items for cash value. This information is compiled into a large database and through the subscription our investigators can locate and retrieve stolen items daily throughout the nation.

The Union County Sheriff's Office has utilized the contractual services of LeadsOnline, LLC for PowerPlus Software Service since 2012. LeadsOnline, LLC has been effective and efficient in meeting our crime mapping software needs, and we are requesting to continue this service for an additional three years.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

The anticipated annual cost for this service is $18,123.00. Since this contract contains a three-year term, $54,369.00 is estimated to be spent. Funding is available in the adopted FY25 budget with future expenditures subject to annual BOCC budget appropriation.
