ACTION REQUESTED:

Recognize Johnathan Carter as the Caught in the Act Employee of the Year for 2024.

BACKGROUND:

Caught in the Act is a recognition program for Union County employees that enables employees to nominate their colleagues for going above and beyond expected roles within their job description.

 

Union County’s Management is proud to announce that Deputy Johnathan Carter, a dedicated School Resource Officer (SRO) at Prospect Elementary School, has been selected as Union County’s 2024 Caught in the Act Employee of the Year!

 

In 2024, Carter was one of four County employees who received a quarterly Caught in the Act Award. He was nominated for demonstrating exceptional commitment to school safety and engagement. His innovative efforts to involve staff and teachers in proactive and comprehensive safety discussions have strengthened the partnership between law enforcement and the school community. Through his leadership, he has initiated engaging programs that promote awareness, preparedness, and collaboration, ensuring that schools remain safe and supportive environments for students and staff alike.

 

Beyond his work in safety discussions, Carter has consistently gone above and beyond to provide exemplary support in various situations, demonstrating professionalism, compassion, and a deep commitment to public service.
