BACKGROUND:

The Final Plats for the Sabella subdivision were recorded in the Union County Register of Deeds Office in Plat Cabinet P, Files 718-720, and Plat Cabinet P, Files 925-926. The two public streets in this subdivision, Parrothead Dr. and Buffet Ln., are used as residential streets to provide access to 31 residential lots. The developer of the subdivision filed a petition with the NCDOT to take over maintenance of the roads within the subdivision. This resolution provides direction to the NCDOT to evaluate the roads, and if they meet the minimum standards, to accept responsibility for maintenance.
