ACTION REQUESTED:
Authorize the Chair to take the following administrative action as approved by the Board: to extend the County Manger’s contract term in accordance with this agenda item and attached amendment.

BACKGROUND:
Pursuant to N.C.G.S. § 153A-81, the Board of County Commissioners may appoint a County Manager to serve at its pleasure. This agenda item authorizes the Chair to execute an amendment to extend the County Manager’s contract term in accordance with this agenda item and attached contract amendment.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
No additional funding required in this fiscal year. Sufficient funding is included in the FY27 budget.
