BACKGROUND:
The Radio Towers are vital infrastructure for the radio system utilized by Emergency Services to dispatch all county and municipal police, fire, and EMS agencies; for local trainings and public events; and by partnering agencies. The Radio Towers located on Brooks Road, Cuthbertson Road, Brooks Turner Rd, and Fowler Secrest Rd need replacement uninterrupted power supply systems to maintain their 24/7 operation. The current systems were installed in 2008 and are currently running unsupported and at reduced capacity or being bypassed due to total loss of functionality. The purchase of the Liebert APS UPS systems will be made using GSA Contract # 47QTCA19D00MM quoted by Data Network Solutions. The installation of the UPS systems are to be completed as quoted by Vertiv dba JG Blackmon & Associates.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The anticipated cost for this purchase is $219,078.72 and is budgeted accordingly for FY2027.
