ACTION REQUESTED:
Authorize the County Manager to submit the associated grant application and make necessary assurances and certifications associated with the grant application as substantially consistent with this agenda item, which includes the authorization to execute documents related to award of the grant and budget funds as appropriate.

BACKGROUND:
The North Carolina Family Planning Program provides clinical and educational services to improve pregnancy intendedness for individuals throughout North Carolina. Priority is given to low-income individuals. The Family Planning Program is administered by the Reproductive Health Branch (RHB) of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS), Division of Public Health (DPH), Women, Infant, and Community Wellness Section (WICWS). Successful applicants will receive funding to implement family planning clinical services in communities throughout the state of North Carolina.
This grant opportunity is up to $108,104 annually, for up to three years, contingent upon contract compliance, availability of funds and satisfactory performance.
