PRIOR BOARD ACTIONS:
January 12, 2026, Regular Meeting, Agenda Item # 26-031 - Directed staff to draft text amendments related to the definition of major and minor subdivisions and plan related Public Hearing.
BACKGROUND:
On January 12, 2026, the Board directed staff to draft text amendments related to the number of lots that define major and minor subdivisions. Following the standard process, Union County’s Land Use Board was scheduled to hear and provide feedback on draft language during their Tuesday, January 27, 2026 meeting. However, due to impacts of inclement weather, the Land Use Board meeting was canceled. Therefore, the Public Hearing on this topic has been removed from the February 2, 2026 agenda of the Board of County Commissioners and is expected to be rescheduled.
