ACTION REQUESTED:

Appointment of five (5) members to the Library Board of Trustees, as designated below, and four (4) members to the Home and Community Care Block Grant Advisory Committee (HCCBG).

PRIOR BOARD ACTIONS:

None.

BACKGROUND:

1) The following vacancies exist on the Library Board of Trustees:

a. Fairview Region Representative (One Appointment)

b. Monroe Region Representative (One Appointment)

c. Union West Region Representative (One Appointment)

d. Two At-Large Representatives

 

These vacancies have been advertised in accordance with the Board’s Rules of Procedure. Applications have been received as follows:

 

a.                     Renee A. Hottle (currently serves as the Fairview Region Representative and is requesting reappointment)

b.                     Hayne White (currently serves as the Monroe Region Representative and is requesting reappointment)

c.                     Beverly Osborn (currently serves as the Union West Region Representative and is requesting reappointment)

d.                     Terry Settle (currently serves as an At-Large Representative and is requesting reappointment) 

e.                     There is a second At-Large Representative vacancy, and it is our understanding that the member who currently serves in that position does not wish to reapply.  In addition to the applications received for Positions a - d above, the following applications have also been received:

 

a.                     Delwin Eugene Archer

b.                     Christopher Day

c.                     Sundararajan Santhanam

 

2) Home and Community Care Block Grant Advisory Committee (HCCBG) - There are vacancies for four (4) community representatives on the Home and Community Care Block Grant Advisory Committee. These vacancies have been advertised in accordance with the Board’s Rules of Procedure.

 

The following applications have been received, all for reappointment to this committee:

 

a.                     Surluta Anthony

b.                     Patrick Chang

c.                     Aleta Galusha

d.                     Judith Kinlaw
