BACKGROUND:
A representative from Centralina Regional Council will present Union County Manager Brian Matthews with the James D. Prosser Excellence in Government Leadership Award as part of Centralina's annual Region of Excellence Awards. The award recognizes transformative local government leadership that exemplifies excellence in government, outstanding leadership and high ethical standards. Matthews is being recognized for his more than 25 years of local government service and his leadership in advancing strategic infrastructure investments, regional partnerships, economic development, and organizational excellence.
Centralina's Region of Excellence Awards celebrate local governments, organizations and individuals whose efforts expand opportunities and improve quality of life throughout the nine-county Centralina region.
