ACTION REQUESTED:
Appoint members to Boards and/or Committees from applications received.
PRIOR BOARD ACTIONS:
None.
BACKGROUND:
Vacancies exist on the following Boards and/or Committees. These vacancies have been advertised in accordance with the Board’s Rules of Procedure.
1. Home and Community Block Grant Advisory Committee - Dale Louder has applied to fill one of the vacancies.
2. Library Board of Trustees - there is one vacancy on this board for the Weddington representative.
Peter Kovacs has applied for this position.
3. Historic Preservation Commission - there are two vacancies on this commission. Members of this commission are limited to serving two consecutive four-year terms.
Crystal Gilliard is currently serving on this Commission, and she has applied for reappointment. She has served one four-year term and is eligible for reappointment.
John Mullen and Dmytro Zamora have also applied to serve on this commission.
4. Juvenile Crime Prevention Council - there are two vacancies on this Council: (a) County Commissioner Appointee; and (b) Person Under Age 21.
Daniel Hailey has applied to serve as the County Commissioner Appointee and Ethan X. Davis has applied to serve as a person under age 21.
