ACTION REQUESTED:
Authorize the County Manager to submit the associated grant application and make necessary assurances and certifications associated with the grant application as substantially consistent with this agenda item, which includes the authorization to execute documents related to award of the grant and budget pass-through funds as appropriate.

BACKGROUND:
Project Nickel ($100 Million & 65 new jobs) has been pre-approved for a $75,000 OneNC Grant from the NC Department of Commerce. The Board of County Commissioners awarded a $2,350,000 Economic Development Incentive Grant to the project at their February 18, 2025 meeting. The company is in the process of completing the OneNC application for the $75,000. There is a local government portion of the OneNC application which requires attestation of the County Manager.
