BACKGROUND:
The FY2025 Capital Improvement Plan, as approved by the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC), includes an annual allocation in the Wastewater Rehabilitation & Replacement Program to assess, prioritize, and rehabilitate/replace sanitary sewer collection system infrastructure. The STEG Sewer Improvements - FY2025 project consists of replacing approximately 11,920 linear feet of the existing STEG system in Spring Hill East, Camelia Park North, Community Park East, and Cherokee Woods West.
Union County previously assessed the STEG systems in the Town of Stallings and Town of Indian Trail and developed a 10-year program based on priority ranking to replace the existing 4-inch and 6-inch gravity sewer mains with new 8-inch gravity sewer mains. The locations outlined above are locations to be addressed in FY2025 based on the 10-year replacement schedule.
McKim & Creed Task Order 8681-01 provides for design, permitting, and bidding services for the project. The scope of services in the attached Task Order 8681-01 has been reviewed by UCW engineering staff and is appropriate for the project. These services are to be provided on a per diem not to exceed fee basis in the amount of $406,631.00.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Funding is available within the adopted Wastewater Rehabilitation and Replacement Program to support the engineering services as shown in McKim & Creed, Inc. Task Order 8681-01 in the amount of $406,631.00.
