BACKGROUND:
The 12 Mile Wastewater Reclamation Facility uses particulate screening as part of the treatment process. There are three pieces of filter equipment at the site that have been in use since the plant was expanded in 2018. Each piece of equipment consists of 588 individual cloth panels. Over time, these panels are required to be replaced due to normal wear.
On February 21, 2024, the Procurement Department partnered with Union County Water to issue Invitation for Bid 2024-080 12 Mile Filter Panel Purchase. On April 30, 2024, one bid for the title project was received, tabulated, reviewed, and certified by Union County Water. Staff recommends that the project be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, Veolia Water Technologies, Inc., in the amount of $108,153.12.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Funding is available within the adopted FY2025 budget to support the purchase price of $108,153.12.
