ACTION REQUESTED:
Receive as information training regarding the Consolidated Human Services Board’s duties and powers.
BACKGROUND:
The Consolidated Human Services Board serves as Union County’s Board of Health (BOH) per authority granted by the NC General Statutes. Accreditation Activity 36.3 requires dated evidence of all BOH members’ participation in ongoing training activities related to authorities and responsibilities of BOH since the previous site visit.
UNC-CH School of Government will provide training regarding open meetings, public records, social services powers and duties, and liability pertaining to the Consolidated Human Services Board.
