Recognize Union County Finance Specialist Heather Howey for receiving the Lifesaver Award.

BACKGROUND:
While recently on a family vacation in Myrtle Beach, Finance Specialist Heather Howey witnessed a woman in a store have a seizure, fall to the floor and stop breathing. She rushed to perform CPR on the woman, which she learned in her previous role as a 911 telecommunicator with Emergency Communications. Heather diligently performed chest compressions for several minutes until the woman started breathing again and paramedics arrived.
On Aug. 13, the County's Management Team surprised Heather during a team meeting and presented her the Lifesaver Award.
The Lifesaver Award is awarded to employees whose heroic actions result in saving someone's life.
