ACTION REQUESTED:
Authorize the County Manager to 1) negotiate and execute an agreement substantially consistent with this agenda item, 2) exercise any renewal or extension term options set forth in the Agreement, and 3) terminate the Agreement if deemed in the best interest of the County, each in the County Manager's discretion.
PRIOR BOARD ACTIONS:
Monday, April 4, 2022, Regular Metting, Agenda Item #22-199 - Authorized the county Manager to enter into a contract agreement with Randall Supply Inc. to provide Pump and Motor Repair Services.
BACKGROUND:
Union County Water maintains and operates 52 wastewater pumping stations, 5 wastewater treatment facilities (WRF), and the Yadkin Water Treatment Plant, these sites require extensive work to be provided for the sites of the assets in place, including repair to pumps and motors.
The Union County Water Department has utilized the contractual services of Randall Supply, Inc. for Pump and Motor Repair Services since April 13, 2022. Randall Supply, Inc. has been effective and efficient in meeting our service needs, and we are requesting to continue this service for an additional one year.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The anticipated annual cost for this service is $100,000 and is budgeted accordingly for FY25.
