November 6, 2023, Regular Meeting, Agenda Item # 23-785 - Discussion of Flooding Issues in Wesley Chapel and Indian Trail
BACKGROUND:
At their regular meeting on November 6, 2023, the BOCC directed County staff to work with Wesley Chapel, Indian Trail and other relevant parties to facilitate discussion, analysis of the causes and potential engineering solutions for stormwater issues affecting neighborhoods within those jurisdictions. Staff from the three jurisdictions met several times over the past months to discuss the issues which ultimately led to the development of a scope of work for an RFQ to engage an engineering firm to help with this effort. The three jurisdictions will equally share the cost of the study. The town executed interlocal agreements are attached.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
$30,000 total project budget. $10,000 from County funds
