Receive as information an update on the Well Program and Water Quality In Union County.
BACKGROUND:
The On-site Water Protection Program within the Environmental Health Division includes the specialized focus area of Wells and Water Quality. Nearly 25% of Union County citizens depend on groundwater as their drinking water source so this is an important public health issue. We will share an update on this program and highlight projects and partnerships that focus on well water quality, education and outreach initiatives and research projects.
