ACTION REQUESTED:
1) Adopt the CDBG MOU for Wingate, and 2) authorize the County Manager to negotiate and execute the document.

BACKGROUND:
Union County became an Entitlement Grantee in 2016 and began receiving an annual allocation of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) on July 1, 2016. CDBG funds are intended to address the needs of low - and moderate-income areas by fostering affordable housing, improving infrastructure, supporting economic development, providing essential services, revitalizing neighborhoods, aiding in disaster recovery, and bolstering planning and organizational capacity.
MOU is subject to change due to final quantity of equipment.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Union County will have an asset of approximately $300,000.00 at no cost to the County.
