BACKGROUND:

The Procurement Department partnered with the Human Resources office to issue a Request for Proposal RFP 2024-052 Employee Assistance Program Services. On January 17, 2024, 8 proposals were received and reviewed by an evaluation team in accordance with applicable evaluation criteria for this project. The top ranked 3 firms/vendors were invited to shortlist interview/presentations. As a result, the team requests approval to enter into a contract with the top scoring/ranked preferred offeror, The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Hospital Authority d/b/a Atrium Health, to provide Employee Assistance services. The contract is planned to have an initial term of 3 years with up to 3, one year renewal options at the sole discretion of the County and is subject to annual budget appropriation.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

The anticipated annual cost for this service is $33,800. The date is planned to commence for the beginning of FY2025. A total of $102,000 is estimated to be spent in an initial 3-year term. Funding is available for ongoing service related to this benefit and is included in the FY2025 budget pending BoCC approval with future expenditures subject to annual BoCC budget appropriation.
