ACTION REQUESTED:
Authorize the County Manager to 1) negotiate and execute an agreement with Piedmont Trucks substantially consistent with this agenda item, 2) exercise any renewal or extension term options set forth in the Agreement, and 3) terminate the Agreement if deemed in the best interest of the County, each in the County Manager's discretion.

BACKGROUND:
1) 2024 Ford Transit 350 Medium roof 148"wb cargo 9950lb GVWR-HD, Upfit Equipment and Installation
N.C.G.S 143-129(e)(3) and N.C.G.S 143-129(e)(9) allow local governments to make purchases through a competitively bid North Carolina Statewide Term Contract or a Group Purchasing Program. The purchase of the 2024 Ford Transit 350 Medium roof 148"wb cargo 9950lb GVWR-HD, Upfit Equipment and Installation will be made using North Carolina Sheriff’s Association Bid No. 22-08-0913RR as quoted by Piedmont Trucks. The Procurement Department has vetted this contract and purchase amount.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The anticipated cost for the Vehicle and Upfit Equipment is $111,677.60 and is budgeted accordingly for FY2024.
