Easement Conveyance to Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC for Austin Chaney Residential Waste Center Project

ACTION REQUESTED:
1) Adopt Resolution for Grant of Easement to Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC and 2) authorize the County Manager to approve and execute such documents as may be required to complete the easement conveyance.

None.
BACKGROUND:
The Austin Chaney Residential Waste Center project is currently underway and will require additional electrical infrastructure to complete the project. Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC. has identified a route for overhead power lines and pad mounted transformer. In order to complete the installation and ongoing maintenance of this utility, Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC requires the conveyance of an easement according to the attached documents. Union County staff and legal have agreed to the terms of the conveyance.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
$1.00 paid to the County by Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC.
