ACTION REQUESTED:
Authorize the County Manager to 1) negotiate and execute an agreement substantially consistent with this agenda item, 2) exercise any renewal or extension term options set forth in the agreement, and 3) terminate the agreement if deemed in the best interest of the County, each in the County Manager's discretion.
PRIOR BOARD ACTIONS:
December 7, 2020, Regular Meeting, Agenda Item # 10 - The Board approved the original contract 6761 for an initial term of 3 years with 3 additional renewal options for one-year terms.
BACKGROUND:
Adding Turn by Turn software to our current services with this vendor will provide the field units with turn-by-turn directions, which will aid them in responding to emergencies. The cost of the new module will be $5,655. With all the growth in Union County this will be a valuable tool for the responders.
The Emergency Communications Department has utilized the contractual services of CentralSquare Technologies, LLC for CAD and Records Management Software services since 2008. The contractor has been effective and efficient in meeting our service needs, and we are requesting to extend the current services and add the Turn-By-Turn Navigation module for an additional one year.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The anticipated annual cost for this service, including the new module, is $397,539.74 and is subject to FY2025 BOCC budget appropriation.
