ACTION REQUESTED:
CHSB to discuss sending a message in the form of a letter to the BOCC through the County Manager (G.S. 153A-77(d)(7)).
BACKGROUND:
At its February 12, 2024, regular meeting the CHSB requested staff put an item on its March agenda for the purpose of discussing and potentially preparing a letter or resolution to encourage the BoCC to enable the Human Services Board with the ability to be informed of, and engaged in, conversations about public health-related items being considered by the BoCC. The intent of the potential request would be to enable the CHSB to be of service to the BoCC as they consider agenda items that are associated with public health matters or other Human Services Agency related work.
