ACTION REQUESTED:
Appoint Tanner Sulkey and Gerald Lahecka as the County Commissioner’s Appointees to the Waxhaw Fire Department Firefighter Relief Fund Board.

BACKGROUND:
The Firefighter’s Local Relief Fund Board consists of a total of five (5) members. Two (2) members are elected by the membership of the department. Two (2) members are appointed by the County Board of Commissioners if the fire department is not a municipal department. One (1) member is appointed by the Commissioner of Insurance. NCGS 58-84-30 provides for the appointment of trustees and the organization of the relief fund board. Jodi Aldridge has stepped down from the Relief Fund Board. Marie Cangemi was not re-elected to the board of directors and served as the treasurer for the board of directors as well as the relief fund treasurer
